WEST HAM (5-4-1)
Lukasz Fabianski – 7.5
Very little he could do about Phil Foden’s equaliser. Huge save from Raheem Sterling late on.
Vladimir Coufal – 7
Generally strong in one-on-one situations and kept things simple defensively on the West Ham right.
Fabian Balbuena – 6
Appeared to struggle with the runners of City towards the end of the game. Raheem Sterling was a nuisance for him.
Angelo Ogbonna – 7
Had no problems dealing with Sergio Aguero before half-time. City had more movement thereafter.
Lukasz Fabianski made a huge save late on to deny Raheem Sterling from scoring a winner
Aaron Cresswell – 7
Often the spare man at the back and was not really called upon to deal with Riyad Mahrez on the inside.
Arthur Masuaku – 7
Kept Mahrez very quiet and dealt with Kyle Walker on the cover when the right back broke free.
Jarrod Bowen – 7
Willing runner down the right and had the quality to take the game to City on the break.
Tomas Soucek – 6.5
David Moyes has additional solidity with Soucek in there and appears a very shrewd signing.
West Ham captain Declan Rice had a very solid afternoon for the Hammers, giving little away
Declan Rice – 7
Such a powerful presence in midfield. Didn’t give the ball away once in the first half.
Pablo Fornals – 5.5
His late fluffed chip when clean through with the flag down summed up Fornals’ afternoon.
Michail Antonio – 7.5
Stunning goal. Leads the line courageously and owns the finesse to punish defences when given the chance.
Michail Antonio scored a superb goal in the 18th minute, but he was later brought off injured
Andriy Yarmolenko (for Antonio, 52) – 5
Sebastian Haller (for Bowen, 69) – 6
Subs not used: Randolph, Fredericks, Diop, Noble, Lanzini
Andriy Yarmolenko failed to match Antonio’s efforts, making numerous errors on the ball
MANCHESTER CITY (4-3-3)
Ederson – 6.5
Could only watch Antonio’s bicycle kick fly past. Claimed crosses strongly and smothered other danger.
Kyle Walker – 6
Decent display to continue his promising run of form. Not a lot of space for him to attack out wide.
Ruben Dias – 6.5
A couple of mistakes but is looking the part and completing a number of crucial blocks.
Ruben Dias is looking the part in the heart of City’s backline despite a couple of mistakes
Eric Garcia – 6
Perhaps a little fortunate more was not made of a possible first-half penalty on Antonio.
Joao Cancelo – 6
Does offer some attacking purpose and was key in City’s equaliser. Lacks consistent quality though.
Bernardo Silva – 6
Still attempting to find rhythm and consistency after suffering an injury early last month.
Rodri – 6
A rather passive performance and didn’t really get to grips with the West Ham midfield.
Sergio Aguero was a peripheral figure in the first half and was brought off at half-time
Ilkay Gundogan – 6.5
Started imposing himself on the game after the break. Top range of passing when he gets going.
Riyad Mahrez – 5.5
Will think he might have had more of an impact. Wanted it into feet a little too often.
Sergio Aguero – 5
No service and didn’t look particularly match fit. That will be a worry for Pep Guardiola.
Raheem Sterling – 6
Thankless task against a low block. But should have won it for City when sent clear with five minutes left.
Raheem Sterling missed a glorious opportunity to make it 2-1 with five minutes remaining
Phil Foden (for Aguero, 46) – 8
Kevin De Bruyne (for Silva, 68) – 6.5
