Jack Crawford admits something needs to change at Tennessee Titans following back-to-back defeats.
The Titans started the NFL season perfectly and were 5-0 before being beaten by Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals.
They now face Chicago Bears with Crawford, who was born in London, admitting there needs to be some change.
Crawford said: “It’s hard to be on a winning team, it’s hard to have the right team together to rack up a lot of wins in a season.
“Being 5-2 right now is good but we’re also looking at ways we can improve, we’ve lost our last two games, so something’s got to change.
“I don’t really look at what’s behind us I always look at the next game, week-to-week, so I just focus on just winning the next game to be honest with you.
“It’s about going back to fundamentals, details. And a lot of it is to do with communication.
“A lot of the stats they have out on us as a team is misleading, you may think that the defence is bad here, or the offence can’t get this going or the special teams are having issues.”
It’s the defence that has received plenty of criticism at Tennessee though they showed Johnathan Joseph and Vic Beasley the door this week.
Bill Belichick’s Patriots problems go deeper than the departure of Tom Brady
Though defensive end Crawford, who went to school with Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, believes too much gets read into stats as the Titans look to get back to winning ways.
“A lot of football depends on each other and a lot of the time we may not have success on third downs. It looks like we’re bad on third downs but it’s because we’re giving up a lot of yards on second downs.
“And so when they’re third and short a lot of the time, it makes it look like we can’t convert on third down.

“A lot of it is details we have to fix at an individual and fundamental level. I think, two losses, it’s not the end of the world, it’s not time to go back to the drawing board and tearing everything down.
“It more of a sense we need to come closer together because we believe on the outside there’s a lot of people in the league and outside of the league via the media who are trying to poke holes in us and tear us apart and if we read into that, ultimately that can spread the wrong culture around the locker room.”
