Chimaev calls on Diaz to battle him at UFC Fight Night 186

‘Get your soft body to Vegas and I will smoke you’: Khamzat Chimaev calls on Nate Diaz to battle him at UFC Fight Night 186 on December 19 after American accuses Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier of ‘play fighting’

  • Khamzat Chimaev is making waves through UFC after his debut back in July
  • He produced big wins over John Phillips, Rhys McKee and Gerald Meerschaert
  • Now Chimaev has called out Nate Diaz for a fight in December in Las Vegas

Khamzat Chimaev has called out Nate Diaz on Twitter for a bout on December 19 at UFC Fight Night 186, urging his rival to get his ‘soft body’ to Vegas.

Chimaev has emerged as one of the biggest commodities in the sport recently after a number of emphatic finishes in his last couple of fights in the Octagon over the past few months.

Chimaev only made his UFC debut back in July this year, but he has already proved he has what it takes to mix with the sport’s biggest stars after a submission of John Phillips before outclassing Rhys McKee with a technical knockout.

The 26-year-old then stepped up to middleweight again following his debut against Phillips to face Gerald Meerschaert, and he produced a stunning knockout in just 17 seconds.

And now Chimaev, with confidence at an all-time high, has taken to Twitter to call out Diaz – targeting a December 19 date.

After Diaz accused Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier of ‘play fighting’ after agreeing to a rematch later this year, Chimaev replied saying he will ‘smoke’ his American rival.

Diaz initially wrote on Twitter: ‘Let’s don’t (sic) get it twisted I already smoked these 2 now they play fighting.’

Chimaev then replied: ‘I don’t play fighting (sic) I fight so get your soft body to Vegas and I will smoke you on Dec 19. You are a real fighter so let’s go @NateDiaz209.’

But it hasn’t just been Chimaev who has been calling out his UFC rivals recently.

Darren Till, who faces Jack Hermansson in December, called out the dangerous Swede following his sensational finishes of late.

And Chimaev didn’t hesitate in his response, insisting: ‘I will be ready.’
