Dana White has suggested Conor McGregor tried to take the spotlight away from Israel Adesanya before his UFC 253 fight with Paulo Costa.

The messages showed the pair discussing possible fights for the Irishman with White accusing him of breaking ‘man code’ by sharing their conversation.

‘I had people blowing me up left and right,’ he said following UFC 253. ‘I mean everybody here knows, I mean even the ladies, this is some man-code stuff but it’s just something you don’t do.

‘It’s just something that you don’t do. It is one of the dirtiest things you can do.’

McGregor also leaked private messages between himself and White before Adesanya’s bout

In addition to the announcement of his fight with Pacquiao and the the leaked messages, McGregor tweeted to confirm he still wants to take on Diego Sanchez in the future.

And White said it’s not the first time the 32-year-old has caused a stir before a big event.

‘This was a weird one. This was weirder and different than anything he’s done before. There’s almost a pattern here,’ White told Sports Illustrated.

The Irishman also revealed he is coming out of retirement to fight Manny Pacquiao for charity

The Notorious then tweeted his desire to to fight American Diego Sanchez in the future

‘When we’re about to do a massive fight—and Israel Adesanya broke a ton of records last week in a global, massive fight—the day before that fight, he starts announcing he’s going to fight this guy and that guy.

‘It’s almost like stealing Adesanya’s thunder. But he does it every time there’s a big fight.’

McGregor has previously been supportive of Adesanya with the pair both clients of Paradigm Sports Management and the Irishman shared some words of encouragement on Instagram before the UFC 253 fight.

He wrote: ‘This has a fight of the year potential, and will be a legendary main event. I’m pulling for you brother.’
