Amazon is once again teaming up with Fox and NFL Network in 2020 to help broadcast “Thursday Night Football” games.
While you may not immediately think of Amazon when you wonder where to watch “Thursday Night Football,” it’s actually a beneficial option for those who have decided to cut cable. If you don’t have a cable box and don’t really watch network TV, then watching “Thursday Night Football” legally becomes challenging.
But if you’re a cord-cutter, chances are you use Amazon Prime and its streaming service as an alternative. If you fall into that category, then this ends up being a perfect option for you.
However, Amazon’s “Thursday Night Football” broadcast offers more than just being able to live stream the game without cable access. In 2020, Amazon has added some new features to enhance your viewing experience. We’ll go through all of those updates below.

“Thursday Night Football” will be made availble to Prime Video members and Twitch users. If you own an Amazon Fire TV Stick, the game will be featured prominently on your home screen. On Twitch, the game will be made available in a number of ways, which we’ll explain in more detail below.
Amazon has made a number of options available for the broadcast of your choosing. The standard Fox audio featuring Troy Aikman and Joe Buck will be available, as will the Amazon feed featuring Hannah Storm and Andrea Kremer. Fox Deportes’ audio is also an option, featuring Adrián García Márquez and Rolando Cantú.
If none of those interest you, Amazon is adding a Scout’s Feed in 2020. This features NFL.com’s Bucky Brooks and Daniel Jeremiah along with Fox Sports personality Joy Taylor.

In addition to the primary stream, Amazon will once again select a handful of co-streamers, who will provide their own commentary during the games. These broadcasts will be made available on the co-streamers’ respective Twitch channels. Last year, Amazon had notable Twitch streamers TimTheTatman, NICKMERCS, GutFoxx and others who co-streamed the broadcast. Amazon has not yet named which Twitch streamers will be participating in 2020.
‘Thursday Night Football’ on Amazon features
The third announcing crew is new to Amazon’s Thursday Night Football broadcast in 2020, but that’s not all that’s changed. Amazon is increasing what you can do with its X-Ray feature (available on all Fire TV, Android, and iOS devices) during the broadcast.
Prime Video members can set their own replays using X-Ray, and those replays will include stats specific to that play. Stats will include time to throw, running speeds and completion probability, as well as trivia and relevant milestones. The feature will also continue to give users access to simple box score stats and key insights.
To access the X-Ray feature, simply flip your mobile device or click up on your Fire TV remote.
