Demarai Gray is set to be omitted from Leicester's squad this weekend as City ponder selling him.
Attacking ace Gray is in the final year of his £50,000-a-week deal at the King Power.
Tottenham are long-term admirers of the former Birmingham trainee.
Mirror Sport understands there is also plenty of interest from abroad, including Germany, in the wideman ahead of the window closing on Monday.
He was left out of the league leaders' squad for their win at Manchester City last weekend.
Gray is set to remain on the sidelines this Sunday when West Ham visit.
Leicester are yet to put a price on his head but are open to offers and Gray is keen to go.
He wants more game-time at his next club after making just three League starts last term.
It has left Gray,24, increasingly frustrated at the King Power Stadium and he has, as yet, shown little interest in any new deal.
But the former England U21 ace remains highly-rated after making 132 Premier League appearances, notching 10 goals and nine assists.
He has found his prospects at Leicester hit by the emergence of Harvey Barnes, 22, and last summer's £30million signing Ayoze Perez.
Barnes, who continues to impress, was handed his first senior England call-up on Thursday by Gareth Southgate.
He was named in a 30-man squad and is likely to make his debut in one of the three upcoming fixtures.
