Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is facing a potential crisis in attack after Sadio Mane was caught on camera sat in the dugout with ice strapped around his right leg after being substituted on Wednesday night.
Mane played around an hour of Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Ajax as they got their Champions League group stage off to a winning start.
Around the hour mark, Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino were all replaced as Klopp fielded an all-new attack.
It was thought that it was an entirely pre-meditated move to rest the trio ahead of this weekend’s clash with Sheffield United.

But Mane was seen with icing his leg while watching on in Amsterdam, raising plenty of injury concerns.
Jurgen Klopp has played down any fears that the Senegal international is nursing a serious injury, revealing he has been struggling with a dead leg.
“Sadio has still for a few days had a dead leg,” said the Reds boss. “He deals with it in that area, that’s the only thing.
“It is still painful but it’s not a problem. When he doesn’t play, he puts ice on it. That’s it.”
Mane would most likely be replaced by Diogo Jota, whose only Premier League start came in the 7-2 drubbing to Aston Villa.
Jota is a natural left-wing, while Takumi Minamino and Xherdan Shaqiri prefer to play on the right, and have also struggled for form.

It remains to be seen what Klopp will do with his midfield, though captain Jordan Henderson will likely return to the side.
Fabinho may also fill in for Virgil van Dijk at centre-back after putting in a man of the match performance in defence against Ajax.
Adrian will also deputise for the injured Alisson once again.
