What Gareth Bale did in latest Tottenham training session delights Jose Mourinho

Gareth Bale appears in tip-top condition as he prepares to make his second debut for Tottenham.

The Welsh superstar returned to the north London club this summer on loan from Real Madrid but arrived injured, making him unavailable for action before the international break.

However Bale has been working his way back to full fitness in recent weeks and looked sharp during training on Monday.

And Jose Mourinho seemed delighted with what was on show, with the Spurs boss showing his appreciation with a string of congratulatory messages for Bale.

Bale could make his second Tottenham debut against West Ham as the Wales international eyes an October 18 return.

Tottenham boss Mourinho gave a vague update on Bale's fitness last month.

"I don't know when Gareth can be back," said Mourinho. "The only thing that I know is that the motivation is high, he is so happy to be with a club of his heart.

"When a player has this motivation, many times you can shorten the period of recovering and getting fit."
